Alexander Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Case Study

Alexander Kitchens, Bathrooms & Bedrooms

Alexander, a kitchen and bathroom showroom well known in Sussex, have been established in Worthing for 40 years, and have provided countless homes with innovative design and installation. They pride themselves on being a family business, and the team have over 100 years industry experience between them.

We began working with Alexander back in 2012, when they wanted high quality photographs in order to update their website. This progressed to building a responsive WordPress website, instigating a rebrand to modernise the company’s profile, and building two subsequent websites for their contract business, and their new Horsham showroom.

We continue to manage and maintain their websites and handle the ongoing management of their social media and blog updates.  We have ensured their websites are optimised for search engines too, so they rank highly on Google for relevant search terms.

Alexander has always attracted an older audience, which was the biggest challenge when it came to taking care of their digital marketing. We needed to still engage that audience through the website, as well as interacting with customers old and new through social media.  With a large budget previously being spent on the outdated Yellow Pages, we have redirected their marketing spend with incredible results.

With the services we have provided, including overseeing a complete rebrand, we have brought a long established family business up-to-date, and ensured they fit into the modern market. Their marketing now features professional, high quality images, their website is comprehensive and responsive, and their social media is updated regularly.  Turnover has increased year on year thanks to their new appeal and reach to a wider audience.

The sights of both Alexander and Hit Refresh are set firmly on the future as we continue to regularly add new content to their website, update their blog and social media, and take photographs of new displays and installations. We have recently completed a second website for a new arm of their business, Alexander Contracts, as they branch into providing kitchens for large building projects.

More Detail

Alexander first approached us in 2012, when we worked predominantly in photography, because they were looking for high quality images that they could use to update their existing website. We started by taking photographs of their showroom, and their most recent projects, which really showcased what Alexander had to offer, and the results they were able to achieve. Their website at the time was functional, but lacked regular updates and search engine optimisation. Pleased with the photographs we had taken, Alexander entrusted us with building a brand new, fully responsive WordPress website that not only bought them up-to-date, but was included search engine optimisation in the content to push them to the top of search results.

Following the success of the website build, the team asked us to regularly update their blog, and take care of their print and pay-per-click advertising. We also set up a Facebook page, a first for Alexander, which sent them straight into 21st century. It’s a page we still update today that includes pictures, blog entries, and feedback from happy customers. In 2015, we were heavily involved in Alexander’s rebrand, which updated and refreshed their look, and extended from their showroom and vehicles, to their website and print advertising.

The most exciting part of our relationship with Alexander is their expansion. Due to continued success over recent years, the team have created Alexander Contracts, a trade arm of the business supplying beautiful Nobilia kitchens to building projects. Not only this, but they’ve also opened a brand new showroom in Horsham, opening up Alexander to a larger chunk of Sussex. Both of these new elements of the business needed a website each, something we were very proud to complete, and we continue to maintain these sites. We very much look forward to continuing to work with Alexander.
