As web designers in Worthing, we know what elements are important to each of our website builds

In the last few months, we’ve been tasked with a fair few of web builds, both for new clients and for existing ones – and we’re always excited to get our teeth stuck into them. Being web designers in Worthing for lots of medium sized local businesses, there are several key things we prioritise when we approach a new web project.

Clear Navigation

This not only makes it easier to plan out the content we need later on, but it also encourages us to keep it as user-friendly as possible. If visitors to your website can’t find what they’re after quickly, chances are they’ll give up.

Beautiful Images

Regardless of how good the design is, images are what contribute to that ‘wow’ factor, and if they’re substandard, what we’re able to achieve visually is compromised. It’s well worth investing in a photographer to snap even just a few shots of your premises, your products or services, and your team. These bring our design to life and illustrate the messages we’re threading through the site. Plus, you can then use them on social media.

Quality Copy

The words matter just as much as the colours, layout and functionality. Tone of voice, key messages, tag lines and descriptions are all instrumental in presenting your business in the right way, which is why our in-house copywriter spends a lot of time researching, brainstorming, writing, and editing. We’re trusted to speak with your voice, and that’s something we don’t take lightly.

Of course, no website is any good if it doesn’t rank on Google, which is why we pay attention to relevant search terms while we’re designing and writing. Weaving them through the copy, adding them to image tags, and including them in blog posts all help to get your site on that all important first page of Google. We spend a lot of time working out what your audience are likely to search for, and designing the website to reflect that.

Throughout the build, we’ll check on our trusty iPhones to ensure that the design displays well on a mobile device. With around 60% of web browsing done on a mobile device now, it’s crucial that everything on the website is accessed just as easily on a small screen as it is on a large one.

With several exciting builds on the go at the moment, we’re excited to unveil them in the coming months – keep your eyes peeled, and get in touch if you’re in need of web designers in Worthing, we’re always up for a chat about how we can help. See our portfolio here.
