Our client, a private group of self-catering holiday homes in Sussex, initially asked us to produce some videos that showcased each of the luxury houses respectively. This relationship evolved into managing several aspects of the marketing for these holiday homes, including web design, photography, social media management and e-shots.

Challenges

Due to the individuality of each property, there was a lot of information to be included on the website, which made for a complex web design. We had to make all the details clear, in addition to displaying all the high quality photographs in galleries, as well as on interactive floor plans.

Results

We’ve created a Wordpress website that is easy to navigate, inclusive of all the important details, and visually stunning. The content, as well as being descriptive, is optimised for search engines.

Ongoing

From here, we’re managing the social media for the properties, as well as continuing to take care of regular e-mail marketing. Regular blog updates are also an important part of the ongoing website maintenance.

When the owner approached us in 2015, they were looking for videography to showcase the luxury properties, and using our specialist equipment we were able to produce high quality promotional videos for each house. Pleased with the results, and having talked to us about what services we were providing to other clients, the owner decided that they would like us to build a brand new website for the properties.

The website that already existed for the group of holiday homes was functional, but failed to reflect the wow factor that comes with each house. Elements synonymous with other rental sites such as availability calendars and clear key features were missing, and the pictures of the houses themselves needed updating. Under the owner’s direction, we began by taking professional photographs of the interior and exterior of every house to be displayed on a stunning new WordPress website. These photographs were the focal point of the web design, with an emphasis on galleries and large header images. These pictures later integrated with interactive floor plans, to give guests a real feel for where they would be staying.

With the web design well underway, we began working with the owner on their email marketing. With a loyal customer base already signed up to receive emails, all we had to do was focus on the design and content of the emails themselves. Communicating regularly with the owner, we were able to decide on a timescale for the e-shots, and come up with content that would appeal to their customer base.

As we move on from the now completed website, Hit Refresh have set up a brand new Facebook page for the holiday homes, and continue to work on building a following, promoting the properties to new customers, and engaging with those who have already enjoyed stays at the beautiful houses. The website blog page is regularly updated with new content geared to SEO, and we’re looking forward to continuing our relationship with this private group of self-catering holiday homes.
